I’ve been meaning to create an image at this location for quite a while (no, not the wet feet image above!).

Let me explain. Every time I visit this area, I would look and wonder if the location was worth shooting. So after my trip to Nose Point, I happened to visit the Eastern Jetty during the day. Having consulted the tide tables and sunrise times, I decided a trip was probably worth it.

As you can see above, I did get the tide table exercise a little bit wrong, hence wet feet and a tripod that needed a strip down and clean (I like this Benro tripod and want to look after it).

Boring tech stuff is – Nikon D800e, Nikon 45mm PCE lens, Nikon 28mm shift lens, (my 24mm PCE lens had to fixed at the “fixy” shop after falling over on an interior job and breaking the shift and rotation mechanism!) Benro tripod, electronic timer, Manfrotto 405 geared head, EI50-160 with exposure time of between 60-180 seconds at f16, CF 6 stop ND and Lee hard grad. Important piece of kit a piece of Blu-tac to stop the ND filter from dropping out of the filter holder!

Seeya soon.
