Here’s a location workshop and industry talk at Newcastle College of Art and Design in the photography department, organised by senior lecturers Alan Thorburn and Zoe Korda.

I’ve done things like this many times and I think it’s a rewarding thing to do, I remember my time at art college and the visiting lectureres would give up their time to hopefully inspire students by passing on their enthusiasm for there craft hoping that knowledge can be passed on to the next generation of creative photographers. Obviously the process of making images has changed dramatically since my days at art school, but the thought process is still the same! Here’s a word or two from Senior lecturer Zoe “It’s always fantastic  to have Mike in , working with the students as he is incredibly knowledgeable and has an exceptional expertise in photography. He has a great rapport with the students and he is able to pass on his  skills onto the students his valuable feedback is incredibly beneficial to the development and success of the students.”

I’m looking forward to this years end of year show starting on the 6th of June at the Assembly Rooms on Westgate Road in Newcastle.
