It’s another location adventure! I have produced images for various manufacturing and engineering companies over the years and one thing that struck me when I was asked to do some product photography for a prospective client (a long time ago) was why did the images that had been created before I became involved, look like the factory/location looks like an awful unattractive place to work. Surely not a good advert for recruitment. So I decided to change that and tweak the way my lighting and use an old lighting and film processing trick that used to work in mixed lighting large format film photography jobs in the distant past. Hey Presto it worked, resulting in clean upbeat images of happy employee’s working in a clean well lit interior.
As usual, I like to talk about Nikon lenses (I need to get a better hobby) some of these images were created with a Nikon 135mm f2.8 Ai lens (see above) which were manufactured between Sept 1981 till 2005, this copy is in emaculate condition for it’s age and it’s serial number dates it around the year 2003, not the easiest to use, a bit like my 180mm f2.8 Nikon lens as both of these lenses are manual focus. An image of some swimmers jumping in a lake for Hunter Hall School was created with the 180mm can be seen in the active section of this site.
The images below were created for a recent commission for Tiger Filtration and there’s also a screen grab from a well known business social media platform promoting the new web site, well done all who were involved which includes me, ha ha!
